Synopsis

“Adventure Among Letters for Reading Comprehension” is a book of stories for elementary school students that, through activities proposed at the end of each story, seeks to develop students' reading comprehension skills. Likewise, to strengthen comprehensive reading, the book contains a variety of myths and legends from different contexts inspired by the author's imagination.
These stories have been carefully selected for this first edition with the aim of stimulating children's imagination and interest in reading, while promoting the development of reading comprehension skills. Each story is accompanied by activities that invite the reader to reflect on the characters, the plot, and the message of the stories, thus fostering a deep understanding of what is read.
In addition, the book includes myths and legends that enrich the reading experience, immersing readers in fantastic worlds and diverse realities. Reading comprehension and oral expression are fundamental skills that have a significant impact on children's academic, social, and emotional development.
Reading comprehension is the ability to understand, interpret, and analyze what is read, which is not only crucial for learning in all areas of knowledge but also for everyday life. Good reading comprehension allows children to acquire and process information effectively, giving them the tools to function independently in the world. On the other hand, oral expression is equally important, as it is through verbal communication that children can share their ideas, emotions, opinions, and experiences. Clear and effective oral expression not only facilitates social interaction, but is also essential for the development of critical thinking, reasoning, and self-confidence skills.
In the school context, these skills are fundamental to academic success, as children with good reading comprehension and oral expression are more likely to understand and assimilate curriculum content, as well as actively participate in class and extracurricular activities.
Therefore, a storybook such as “Adventure Among Letters for Reading Comprehension” not only offers entertainment and cultural enrichment, but also contributes significantly to the development of these skills that are so important for the overall growth of children.
